The Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice gives guidance to nurses on using research findings to improve patient care and outcomes. This model is validated and uses a systematic approach to address clinical problems within healthcare organizations.

Use Figure 1, Iowa Model revised flowchart (Cullen et al, p. 3, in this week’s readings) as a guide to write about the following items. Each section should be a narrative one half to one page long (for a total of 4 pages max). Note: You should be moving down the â€œyesâ€ options of the flowchart for your scholarly project. If you are unable to do so, please speak with your chair regarding your project. The following should be the narrative sections for this paper:

Establish what the trigger (problem or knowledge and which subcategory) is for your clinical problem of interest. Describe the problem at your facility with data to support this scholarly project (such as the number of CLABSI, percentage of patient no-shows, and so on).
Describe why this project is a priority for your organization and list your team members. This list would be all involved with the approval, planning, and implementation of your scholarly project.
Describe your evidence-based intervention. List the primary research articles that support your project/intervention for the identified problem of interest.
Select your outcome to be achieved, why you have chosen the outcome measure, and how you will measure (validated tool, lab values, etc.).

In addition, put this information in short bullet pointed statements in your own Iowa Model flowchart and include it with your paper as an appendix.
