Chapter 16 – Domestic Policy:
1) Annually, the President prepares a proposed budget on spending and Congress can reject or accept – since they are the ones in charge of the money, the President in charge of administering the spending of those funds allocated by Congress. 1) For whatever reason, whether it is the desire to remain the world’s policeman or to appease the military-industrial complex (Links to an external site.), the US has been engaged in expensive (and costly in terms of American and foreign lives lost) conflicts abroad continuously over the last 40 or so years.
